African safari’s can be fun and interesting, however, they require more time to map out than a traditional summer vacation, so take this time to plan ahead. 3.     PLAN A LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS VACATION IN PORTUGAL

Places in Europe are packed with tourist this time of year, however, Portugal is typically in it’s low season during this time. It’s custom to light huge madeiros and bonfires on Christmas Eve which usually last until the first week in January. This is truly a treat to see this time of year.

4.     PLAN A TRIP TO PARIS IN JANUARY

Although Europe is busiest during Christmas, it dies down in late January which makes it a great time to travel to Paris. There are also two major interior design shows that commence at the end of January for those enthusiasts.  It is great for designs buffs to enjoy while the Christmas crowd has dissipated.

5.     ESCAPE THE WINTER TO SYDNEY

Although it’s going to be colder soon, it’s actually going to be summer in Sydney which makes for a perfect winter escape. With time for surfing or driving along the Great Ocean Road, planning a trip to Sydney during our winter months would give a welcomed break from the cold and snow. During the month of January there is also the annual Sydney Festival that hosts more than 400 music, theater and dance performances all over town.

Whatever you choose here, it’s not too early to get started on your winter/summer trip plans, but with either of these options you will be pleasantly surprised, as you can’t go wrong.
