Since this is titled “Best Small Towns To Visit In The U.S.” let us first get the definition from an uninvolved source!

      Town – a town has a population of 1,000 to 10,000.
      https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Sett…
      Settlement hierarchy – Wikipedia

Based on this definition, 8 of the entries are disqualified. 3 are over 12,000 IN population and 4 are over 20,000. The 8th is not even a town or city but an island.

      Just saying!

      Whoa
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
WI has a lot to offer in small Towns.
Best to enjoy a road trip.
The further North you go, the better it gets.
I would say: Save time for the small Towns in the Midwest when you can slow down and enjoy our beautiful Midwest….

Someone from Colorado must have made this list I can’t believe there are no small towns worthy in the mid-west or the northern east coast.

My choice would be Traverse City, Michigan. I lived there as a child, and experienced winter fun, summer swimming and boating, not to mention the famous Cherry Festival and annual Film Festival.

These are all resort towns. When you say small towns I’m small burgs off the beaten path.
